How dorky am I?

Seriously. How like me to start up a blog and post once and then forget about it. It's my way. Oh and I was being sarcastic on that last post about people encouraging me to blog. Amazingly enough I haven't actually had a single request.
So here I am it's fall and I'm making all of these new goals - it's almost the Jewish new year you know - and as an almost Jew - it's not so crazy to set some goals. It's kind of ironic - that the normal calendar that we all follow - the one based on Christianity has it's New Year at the end of January. Normally everything about our set up revolves around the Christian calendar - but the Jewish New Year is in the fall - often in September - and doesn't it feel more natural? Fall is really more of a fresh start for all of us than January 1st - even for people who haven't been in school for years - and don't have children in school.
So things are really feeling new for me - Havalah is back in school In k5 at esquela Fratney with a new teacher and different kids. My fancy Nancy class has started up again with a fresh group of young princesses. I have started watching a handful of kids after school twice a week - and I am a "fashion consultant" for a new brand of kid's clothes called GenMarie. We sell at home shows like Tupperware or pampered chef. My mom used to sell Tupperware when I was a kid and I always thought it was pretty cool. My favorite was the little minature cup/pitcher set - like the tupperware aimed at kids - but doll size.
So here's a link to the GenMarie stuff - it's pricey but it's beautiful and it's all made here in the US. I don't know a ton of people locally that spend big sucks on kid's clothes so mostly I have been having "trunk shows" online.

And here's a couple of pictures of my girl wearing some GenMarie

The Clammoring Masses

All right all right enough allready - everyone has been after me to start up a blog - so that they can hear about what I had for breakfast and hear my perspectives about current events and the trashy tv shows I occasionally watch So here it is, my blog.
Ok so the truth is - I visit other blogs and wistfully feel like I need my own. It's a little hard to know where to start .. I'm not sure what i want my blog to be about or who I want to read it. I almost feel like - the more people I tell about my blog, the more limited I am about what i might want to share.
So tonight I am thinking about my daughter. She's so sweet and so charming and I feel so lucky to have her, yet on a day to day basis she certainly drives me nuts multiple times over. It's hard sometimes to be patient, and hard to know what to behaviors to let go - and which to be stern about. Sometimes it's my fault ... I leave too much til the last minute and then we're rushing to get out the door and I get frusterated and snap at her when she doesn't listen. Sometimes I remind myself of *my* mother, and not of the times she was at her best.
I'm feeling a little melancholy today - and yesterday and maybe the day before too and a little anxious. I think it's just PMS, and I'm hoping I'll feel more cheerful soon. It's always in the back of my head that my daughter's health isn't something I can take for granted - and that at any time we might end up back at the hospital again. Usually it's way way at the back and I barely think about it, often I am blindly optimisitic about it. Then when I have moods like this I wonder - Should I be this optimistic - after all she's doing great right now and she hasn't has any *serious* issues now for a year and a half - OR am I wrong to feel so optimistic - am I really just kidding myself? I worry - will I next year or the year before be thinking back to this time - wishing to go back and make the most of every single moment.
It's hard to know what my perspective should be.
